South Tees NHS Foundation Trust Selects Better Meds

Better has partnered with Alcidion to deliver its Better Meds Electronic Prescribing and Medications Administration system to South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, which will improve patient outcomes and free-up medical teams to spend more time providing care to patients.

After University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Wye Valley NHS Trust and Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, South Tees will be the 5th acute site which has opted for Better Meds as their ePMA solution. Better Meds will help the trust improve patient safety by reducing the prescribing and administration errors that could result in adverse drug incidents. It will also improve communication between pharmacists, doctors, and nurses, enable work prioritisation, enhance reporting, and optimise existing workflows. In this trust with over 1,000 beds and approximately 9,000 clinical and operational staff, Better Meds will be part of Aldicion’s Miya Precision platform, a smart clinical solution based on a FHIR-event platform.
