DMEA, One of the Biggest European Digital Health Events, Will Be Held on 7-11 June

With more than 100 programme and partner sessions, keynotes, panels, and lectures by experts in politics, science, and industry, DMEA will be offering comprehensive insights into all aspects of digital healthcare. This year the event, which is traditionally held in Berlin, Germany, will be entirely online.

German Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn will open the five-day event on 7 June. There will also be keynotes by international speakers on topics such as telemedicine, open innovation, patient involvement, climate change, and the healthcare system.

Better will also be represented at the event by its CEO, who will be giving two talks.

Tomaž Gornik, Better’s founder and CEO will talk about the decision of the HiGHmed consortium of German university clinics to choose Better Platform for medical research in order to improve their provision of care. His presentation, which will be a part of DMEA’s international pitch event and focus on digital health trends and innovative solutions, will be held on Monday, 7 June, at 11:30 CET.

Tomaž Gornik will take part also in the Digital Health 2025 session. His speech is titled The new normal: Re-thinking the IT architecture of health and care and will be held on Thursday, 10 June, at 9:20 CET.

He will discuss how many EHR system providers, the most advanced healthcare systems, and even entire nations are basing their health-data infrastructure on openEHR in order to separate data from applications and store it in an open, vendor-neutral format. He will also focus on future IT architecture that will have a vendor-neutral data layer at the centre, low-code tools to accelerate both application delivery and a modern user experience, and will coexist with legacy EHR systems. His speech will be followed by a live Q&A session, so don’t forget to join it.

We are also looking forward to numerous opportunities for exchanging ideas during the event.
