Better EHR server has been certified on OpenShift

Better EHR server, based on an openEHR standard, has been certified on OpenShift by Red Hat platform. This certification further strengthens Better's vision to support the future of the healthcare system that will be running in the cloud, scale easily, and offer the best performance.

The Better Digital Health Platform is based on the openEHR standard, which is an open standard for storing and exchanging health data. The vendor-neutral EHR server unifies all patient clinical information, regardless of the data source, and binds it to a multitude of terminologies. It comes with a query language and standard APIs for bi-directional communication and a unique two-level architecture, ensuring data consistency while allowing for use-case variation.

The Better Platform is now ready to be deployed on the OpenShift platform. Having such secure and scalable foundation, health and care organisations are able to handle large amounts of data and support a large number of users without worrying about the system stability and performance, as it will be orchestrated out of the box. The platform also offers a variety of tools and services, such as continuous integration and delivery, that help organisations quickly and efficiently develop and deploy applications.

"We are proud to have our Better EHR platform certified on OpenShift by Red Hat," said Boštjan Lah, SVP of Engineering at Better. "This certification is a testament to our commitment to providing a secure and scalable platform that helps healthcare organisations focus on patient care and streamline their IT operations. We currently have our first customers running on this technology, and are looking for many more," said Lah.

OpenShift is a leading Kubernetes-based platform for container orchestration. It provides a secure and scalable foundation for applications, enabling organisations to quickly and efficiently develop and deploy applications. OpenShift is developed and supported by Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open-source solutions.
